GLB: What makes (made) space “home?”
JB: This is/was my first real space in New York, being able to live in a Brooklyn Brownstone that has real character and charm always made it feel homey, the warm wood windows and the big green tree out front also creates a lovely calmness.
GLB: What are 3 things in your apartment that you can’t live without?
JB: Good light, nice floors and a comfortable bed!
GLB: What room do you spend the most time in?
Why?
JB: The dining area nook mostly, its next to the windows, and is a lovely place to sit have some food, do some work, watch tv, its the most versatile of the spaces in the apartment.
GLB: Favorite neighborhood spots?
JB: September, great coffee shop around the corner with an amazing breakfast burrito.
GLB: Favorite piece of furniture? Why?
JB: Probably my dining chairs, they were a instagram find and are such a great tone of wood and shape
GLB: What do you love about living in a historic building?
JB: Living in a space thats had many lives and is not a sterile box, all the woods are mismatched in here and you can see all the times things have been fixed or changed, it has a real story to it and real people have lived in it. Brownstones are so iconic also, its nice living in what feels like a real part of New York.
GLB: What do you love about living in your neighborhood?
JB: I love that Its an incredibly diverse neighborhood, the block feels like a real community, and the big wide streets with big trees make you feel like your not really in a city
GLB: Where do you find inspiration?
JB: As cheesy as it sounds, since moving to New York there is an energy here that has really awake my inspiration, New York and the transient nature of it make me want to keep creating and keep moving forward
GLB: Anything you’re working on?
JB: I have just finished a few music videos for DJ Mustard ft Travis Scott,
Eminem, and OkGo, back to commercials for a while!
